First Blogger Post

             Slack is an innovative platform wherein it takes the idea from what was discussed in the previous post on The Connected Educator  and creates a platform which allows individuals and organizations to do exactly that, connect and collaborate. Organizations which function on Slack use the platform to tackle difficult projects and allows individuals to share bulk data, which is formed on different applications such as Google docs, Google sheets, Excel, to be all on one application which allows them to share, and "huddle"  into subject or position based groups to tackle projects and goals within their organizations.      The reason why I chose this Application as my Smackdown topic is due to how innovative and critical it is to connect the dots.       In this day and age we are now at a point where there are multiple spheres of data, ones that connect on a more intimate and communal level, and others on a more mass data producing realm wherein information can create a sense of mixed signals on the individual. Luckily though there are ways to organize and still benefit from the information given, or such an amazing form of immediate communicating such that there is a greater growth for the individual processing this information.  With my major, such as Marketing, and possibly Business Analytics, it is crucial to sift through the massive amount of information that is being sent to you in a timely manner, which is very frightening, but a great challenge.
