What I've Learned

This was such an interesting class and definitely was something different than what I thought it was going to be. I felt that since I wasn't as tech savvy as some of my fellow classmates, there was definitely going to be a learning curve, but I felt that it was going to be a fun opportunity to learn more. I enjoyed how each blogpost or smack down was a way to not only use and research the application or tool that is being used, but any research lead down a rabbit hole of other competitive applications or so many other tools which all have pros and cons to them. I appreciated how, though it was an asynchronous classroom, we all had to be engaged with one another's topics, as well as learning a topic that you might have not thought of, to see a whole different perspective on platforms that could possibly be used.

One of my favorite topics, the good bad website smackdown, was one of the most insightful ways to understand how a website should function, look, flow, and I really enjoyed the conversations that were brought up during each smack down, as we were all sharing our opinions and ideas on what could help make each of our website topics possibly better. Overall, I think this class was a great learning opportunity and I am excited to see and use the tools I've learned and heard about in class. From learning about Okata from Tameka, Wiki News from Zack and Angelika's Microsoft SharePoint. It was interesting to see different, but similar to the applications that I've heard of,  and applications that I never even heard of such as the three listed above and have started using some of them for homework as well as using them for my future career. It was helpful to get different perspectives and ideas from everyone and to be able to apply them to our own projects. It was also nice to get encouragement and support from my classmates and to have the opportunity to comment with positive feedback and ideas on each other's works.

In conclusion, this was an incredibly informative and enriching class. I learned a lot of new tools and technologies that I can use in my future projects and I am excited to see how I can apply them in the future. I am also thankful for the creative way to learn about so many applications, even ones mentioned in the comments on others blogs, and how they give incite into what to look for for being useful in the workforce. I look forward to continuing to use the tools and technologies that I learned in this class and to see the projects that come out of it.
